Emily June Spanos founded Emily June Designs in 2016 as an homage to the cherished family name ‘June’ which has been passed down from mother to daughter for generations. Delivering dynamic design solutions to clients across the globe, the firm’s philosophy is rooted in originality and a thoughtful consideration of form and function. Emily and her team bring a unique perspective to every home they design, curating bespoke environments that are a vibrant reflection of the families who live within.

A fourth generation Houstonian, Emily founded Emily June Designs in 2016 upon a decade of experience providing interior design solutions to Houston’s most discerning homeowners.

A wild card in the Houston design scene, Emily is admired for her extraordinary ability to blend texture, pattern, and color in the most unexpected ways. Her imaginative approach and adventuresome spirit make Emily a treasured guide to every client she serves, and her belief that color plays a powerful role in our everyday experience is evident in the radiant homes she creates for each.

When Emily isn’t lost in her latest design concept, you will find her exploring Houston parks and venues with her husband and young son or hanging out at their family ranch. Emily is an active member of the Junior League of Houston and the Kappa Alpha Theta Houston Alumnae chapter. She loves serving the local Houston community and is always on the hunt for new ways to share her passion for design.

COURTNEY FINNEN

Design Assistant

A Houston native, Courtney attended and graduated from Sam Houston State University in May 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design. With a love of all things design, Courtney quickly realized that she could turn her passion for interior design into her dream career. While she was pursuing her degree, Courtney worked as the Emily June Designs Intern, and after graduation joined the team as a full time Design Assistant.

Courtney loves residential design and believes that the interior of each person's home has a huge impact on their life. She enjoys the personal, unique aspects of each project she works on and revels in getting to know each client and how they live.

When Courtney isn't at work, you can probably catch her antique shopping looking for one-of-a-kind pieces that she can't live without, or diving into her latest art project.
