Creating Kid Friendly Spaces

This week we are diving into one of our latest projects, focusing on the kids' spaces! Our client recently moved into a spacious two-story home with her three kids, and the upstairs is entirely dedicated to them, with individual bedrooms for each and a spacious shared playroom. Since the primary suite is downstairs, we went all out with colorful and playful designs upstairs since it is purely for the kids. From choosing wallpapers to adding those final accessory touches, every detail was about making these spaces perfect for the kids. This playroom design is a true showstopper, featuring a vibrant and colorful accent wall that serves as the room's focal point! Each paint color was carefully selected to create a lively and inviting atmosphere, brought to life by our expert painter. The space offers plenty of seating options for the client's kids and their friends, ensuring everyone has a comfortable spot to play and relax.

Throughout the house, we revitalized the client's art collection by reframing many pieces, including a playful art piece that we chose to frame in yellow. Doesn't it perfectly complement the room's colorful palette? We completed the design with fun accessories and an abundance of baskets for toy storage - because a playroom wouldn't be complete without ample storage space! This thoughtful combination of vibrant colors, practical seating, and creative decor makes the playroom a delightful and functional space for the kids and their friends.

The client envisioned a girly and cheerful bedroom for their young daughter, and this design captures that perfectly. The pink floral wallpaper is a whimsical focal point, so enchanting we could admire it for hours! We love the corn-on-the-cob side table and the adorable bow chair, which both add playful touches to the space. Designing kids' rooms lets us be extra playful, making the process so much fun. This bedroom combines style and function, with a desk for homework and a cozy reading chair. It truly has it all, blending whimsy with practicality to create a dream space for a young girl!

This bedroom is perfect for a playful young boy who loves the outdoors! To celebrate his fascination with bugs, we framed a special art print to hang above his dresser. We painted the walls green up to 60 inches, creating a stylish wainscoting effect. A bench with storage at the end of the bed keeps his toys organized, while the desk beside the bed doubles as a nightstand and a homework station. This room seamlessly blends style and functionality, making it an ideal space for a young adventurer.

The older daughter has more of an edgy style, so we chose moody yet vibrant colors for her room. The black wallpaper on the accent wall features a spectrum of colorful paint swatches, which are echoed in the brilliant artwork hung above the bed! Given her love of fashion, she got the larger closet and we added a collection of fun fashion books for her to enjoy. This bedroom also includes a desk for homework or crafts, and a cozy reading chair for relaxation. This design perfectly blends her unique style with functional elements, creating a chic and personal space!
