2022 style review

This year we have seen so many gorgeous spaces designed by incredibly talented designers, and we have seen fun fashion trends that brought a little more color to 2022. As this year comes to an end and we welcome 2023, we wanted to share with you our “style review” which includes things we have been loving this year that we think we will be seeing more of in the year to come. Keep reading to check out style elements that we have been obsessed with!

browns

We are all about “banishing the beige” here at Emily June Designs, but we have to admit that it is making a comeback! From deep brown tones to light taupe shades, incorporating more earth tones into your home can help to warm up the space and create more of a moody atmosphere. In 2023 we would love to see deep browns mixed with vibrant colors… imagine how gorgeous that would be!

cobalt blue

Cobalt blue is always such an electric color, but especially in this design! We have been seeing this color a lot more lately, and we love to see people go a little more bold with their color choices. Hopefully 2023 brings more bravery when it comes to color and we can see some more fun spaces like this!

bobbin accessories

We have been obsessing over the bobbin style accessories lately! Bobbin is a 17th century decorative technique so it brings a traditional touch in a modern way. The bobbin picture frames and mirrors are a fun alternative to the traditional frame because they add another layer of color and texture to your wall!

vibrant clothing

We have seen so many colorful fashion trends this year, and all of the color made life a bit more fun! Getting dressed for work and heading to the office is a lot more fun when you’re in love with your outfit, and we had a lot of favorites this year! We definitely hope that 2023 brings even more color into our closets.

Neons have been making a come back (again) and we love seeing different ways that designers incorporate these vibrant colors into their designs. From a neon yellow ceiling to neon tile, the possibilities are endless!

A great way to add variety to the accessories in your home is to mix different colors! We love the look of mixing different colored glass accessories together because it lets each individual piece stand apart from the next. A great way to find glass like this is to go to several antique shops and just pick up a mix of your favorite colors, because there is always so much to choose from!
