So how do you know which design style is right for you if you are unsure? The choices can be overwhelming!

Your home should be a reflection of who you are and what you love, so don’t just follow trends that are popular, but instead incorporate things in your home that truly make you happy. If you are unsure of what direction to go with the design of your home, try looking in your closet and take inspiration from your fashion style, go outside and take inspiration from nature, or look through your music and books to see what inspires you. english country

English Country designs typically features a mix of colors, but the color palettes tend to be more muted and moody. Small scale floral prints, traditional furniture styles and wallpaper are all characteristics that define this design style as well! The Emily June Designs team takes a lot of inspiration from the English Country style!

The Contemporary design style is known for incorporating strong visible lines, geometric shapes, and a bit of minimalism. Classic art, antiques, and historical design elements are what the Traditional design style is all about. Traditional design is influenced by the 18th and 19th centuries. This space is the perfect example of a traditional design with the designer’s flawless choice of art, accessories, and furniture styles!

Some of the main characteristics of the Industrial design style are exposed brick, metal elements, and sleek concrete. This design features all of those! Industrial design is usually minimal in style, with neutral colors and simple materials.

Preppy interior design features bright colors that are repeated throughout the room. Classic patterns can be found within preppy designs and many patterns are often combined in the same space! Stripes are another common characteristic of this design style, and we love how this designer incorporated that in the gorgeous roman shade!
