pull colors from wallpaper

Bathroom designs have the potential to be so fun because you can pack so much personality into such a small space, and this designer did exactly that! A great way to incorporate the red and green color combination into any room is to pull those colors from the wallpaper. In this space, the solid red and green elements in the room are visually separated by the colorful wallpaper on all of the walls. This wallpaper introduces other colors into the space while still allowing the red and green details in the room to stand out!

add color with furniture

While this design has a lot of red and green details, the designer also incorporated a blue paint color which really helps tie these colors together. In this space, most of the red and green elements come from the furniture! The red chairs and the green cabinet are really able to stand out in this space against the blue walls, and the botanical wallpaper adds some more subtle hints of green.

highlight the little details

Hints of red and green really add some pops of color to this space! We love the green trim around the doorway that highlights the transition into the next room, and the red details on the stool and the art introduce the red and green color combination into this design in a very subtle way. No matter what color palette you are wanting to work with, adding color into your home doesn’t need to be an overwhelming task! Sometimes the beauty is in the small details.

incorporate muted tones

A great way to incorporate any color into a space for those who don’t like the bright and bold look is to use muted tones! While this space uses a mostly red and green color palette, these colors appear more understated because they are soft tones. The checkered pattern on the chairs and the checkered pattern on the rug are both tone-on-tone patterns so they are more subtle but still add visual texture into the space. Also, can we talk about the chrome details on the dining chairs? So funky and fun!

make it stand out

A little girl’s room is the perfect space to incorporate the red and green color combination, because look how great those colors work together when you add in a bit of pink! The soft red fabric used for the bed canopy is lined with a pretty pink trim, and goes beautifully with the green wallpaper on the wall behind it. The pink settee ties it all together, and the pattern on the shades adds in some more soft touches of red. Such a beautiful balance of color, texture, and pattern!
