blue is the new neutral

Adding color to your space doesn’t have to be bold wallpapers and colorful patterned textiles (even though it definitely can be and we love that). Freshening up a space with color can also be choosing a small color palette and using it throughout a space to create a cohesive look.
In this client’s home that we are about to share with you, we chose a color palette consisting of blues and greens that we combined with neutral elements to tie the space together. This week the Emily June Designs team headed out to install all of the pieces for this living room design and we are obsessed with how it turned out! beautiful built-ins
How amazing are these built-ins? We are always excited for install day, but we were extra excited to be able to accessorize and style these bookshelves since they are the focal point of the room. The soft blue paint color that we chose pairs perfectly with the Phillip Jeffries wallpaper that lines the back of the shelves, and the Thorntree marble adds the perfect amount to visual texture!
authentic accessories
We had no shortage of vintage books and accessories thanks to our recent trip to Roundtop, along with some help from our friends at Found, Oka, and local antique shops. Accessorizing a space once the design is finished and everything is installed is so fun and rewarding, because we get to see our design come to life!
perfect pillows
Incorporating new throw pillows into a space is a quick and easy way to elevate any design! We did two sets of custom pillows, along with a couple of pillows from Oka, which add some fun patterns to the room.
fabulous furniture
Creative Style Furniture helped bring our vision to life with a custom leather sofa, custom swivel chairs, and a custom settee. We are so in love with how everything turned out, and our client is enjoying life in their new space!
