sunny spaces

In honor of the warm weather and the long weekend, we want to share some of our favorite “sunny spaces” with you! Sunrooms are great spaces to play around with fun colors and patterns because the natural light highlights all of the details of the room. Since the main purpose of this type of room is for lounging and relaxing, furnishing a sunroom with comfortable pieces should be a high priority! Window treatments or bare windows, living space or dining space, traditional or eclectic; every choice you make leads you to your perfect design. Keep reading to see some sunroom designs that inspire us here at Emily June Designs!

This whole space is perfection and we can’t decide what aspect of the design we love best! The wallpaper and the chandelier are jaw dropping and they really get to have their moment in this space with all of the natural light.

Patterns, prints and pillows… oh my! This sunroom design features so many different gorgeous patterns, but they are all in the same pink and purple colorways. By doing this, the designer created a layered look while keeping it cohesive with the color choices!

We are so obsessed with all of the green details in this design! Even though sunrooms don’t have much wall space, the windows present a perfect opportunity to use paint in an unconventional way. The bold floral fabric used for the sofa upholstery makes this piece of furniture the focal point of the room, and the mini art on the wall fits perfectly with the minimal wall surface.

A sunroom doesn’t necessarily just have to be a space for sitting, it can be a space for dining as well! This type of room can be the perfect space to share a meal with your family because it is naturally bright with great views. Imagine a fun breakfast on a weekend morning, lunch on a rainy afternoon, or dinner with a view of the sunset… we can’t imagine anything better!
