Wallpaper is usually seen on walls (I mean, it’s in the name!) but in the Emily June Designs studio space we used a fun floral wallpaper on the ceiling! We use the boards on the walls to display fabrics and finishes for our clients, and we didn’t want any color or pattern to clash with what the client was seeing. So, we kept the walls white and went with a patterned ceiling instead! We kept this same trend throughout the office, as you can see in the next room over we went with a bold blue ceiling color while the walls are still white.
While sometimes it’s best for a space to avoid darker ceilings, sometimes it’s a fun way to give your space some unique charm. Typically, this type of ceiling can be used in spaces you want to make more intimate. Since this is our presentation room where we meet one-on-one with clients, we wanted it to feel like a very collaborative space!
