beauty + function

Why try to decide between function and beauty when you can have both? This closet in our client’s home needed careful planning to make the most of the small space. Closets need to be functional and organization is of utmost importance, so we needed to understand how our clients would be using this space in order to give them the type of storage that would be most beneficial to them.

The walls are a light green color which is contrasted by the dark green paint color on the ceiling. This ceiling color helps the gorgeous flush-mount light fixture really stand out in the space!

elegant + bright

We love a pink ceiling because it always adds a bit of warmth to any space! This closet features and island in the middle that makes the room so much more functional because of the amount of storage it adds. A closet island also helps to give you a surface to put things on which many closets don’t have the space for. The built-in dressing table adds eve more function to this closet design, and the chair is so fun!

cozy + inspiring

Why would you put a door to your closet when it looks this gorgeous? We love how this designer made the closet a part of the bathroom by leaving the doorway open, because the closet is just too fun to be hidden behind a door! The dark wallpaper on the walls and ceiling is a good contrast with the bright wallpaper in the bathroom, and the layered rugs soften up the space and make the closet feel more cozy. Justina Blakeney’s work is so inspiring and we always love seeing how she combines different patterns and textures within her designs!

comfortable + sophisticated

We had the pleasure of seeing this closet in person last year at the Kips Bay Show House in Dallas, and we still can’t get enough of it! Every small detail in this design had so much thought behind it, like the trim around the doors, the layered lighting, the perfect coordination of the 3 different wallpapers … just everything! The dressing room leads into the primary closet and is equipped with a mini bar and comfortable seating to provide a space to relax and unwind. A closet or dressing room is one of the most private spaces in a home, so why not go above and beyond to make it speak to your design style and lifestyle?

sleek + organized

The dark wood elements combined with the white paint, dressing table and chandelier creates the perfect amount of contrast in this closet design! We love the designated space for the dressing table with the mirror and wall sconces because it makes it feel like an intentional part of the design rather than just deciding to put a dressing table in the closet. The rug softens up the space and the lighting fixtures are so sleek!
