his and hers office makeover
It is always such a rewarding feeling to see before and after photos of our design projects, because so much time, creativity, and planning goes into every detail. These before and after photos are from our Global project, and we want to share not one, but two home office spaces with you!
These clients originally contacted us to design their primary bathroom, but the homeowners were so taken with Emily June Designs’ modern use of color that they wanted our dynamic approach for the other spaces within their home as well! Our goal was to implement their love for traveling into their home by designing with a worldly style that can be seen throughout every room in the house. The couple each has their own home office space, and it was a fun challenge to create a “his and hers” design that fit into the style of their home while also being unique to their individual styles!

create a comfortable space
This office space is large which allowed us to be more creative with the design and furniture layout. You can’t just throw a desk and a chair into a room and call it an office! So, in order to create a more relaxing and inviting atmosphere, we added a couple of lounge seating areas. Working from home and sitting in the same space everyday can get very tiring, so having a dynamic office design can alleviate some of that fatigue!
We chose a bold blue color for the walls and a space themed wallpaper from The Pattern Collective for the ceiling. With these two dark elements covering the room, it creates a cozy work space while still allowing for the natural light to brighten up the space!

What makes Emily June Designs unique is that we design personal spaces that incorporate objects of importance. This office space reflects our client's love for robots and we loved getting to create this memorable design. When accessorizing your home office space, use items that reflect your hobbies and interests in order to create a more personalized space!

find the perfect style for you
A home office doesn’t just have to be for working, it can be for relaxing too! Since these clients each have their own office spaces, it was a great opportunity to make each space individual to their wants, needs, and style preferences.
These clients love to travel, so we implemented accessories that the couple got on their travels to create a global design that the couple is so fond of. They also love to read and have quite a lot of books which made styling the shelves in this office space easy and fun! Greenery is also a great way to add life to a space and create a refreshing atmosphere. A home office can be where you spend a lot of your time, so the goal is to make this space as enjoyable as possible!
lighting is essential
Lighting selections are important in any space, but it is especially important in an office space! Whether you are reading, writing, or woking on a project, task lighting is essential. In this home office, we selected two wall sconces for both sides of the settee so that our client could sit back and enjoy reading her favorite books!
