Have you ever wondered how to style your coffee table like a pro? Wonder no more! Accessorizing is one of our favorite parts of the design process, and coffee tables are always a fun piece to style because the possibilities are endless. Keep reading to see how we styled some of our clients’ coffee tables along with some other designs!
incorporate some fun objects
In this design we incorporated our client’s vintage coffee table, and we love how the glass top allows us to see the gorgeous rug from any angle! We styled the table using a few books, a brass tray and a flower arrangement, but we also incorporated little fun pieces such as a magnifying glass and some decorative beads.
Since the coffee table is glass and we styled it using several small pieces, we created small surfaces for the pieces using the books and the tray. This ensures that the accessories are seen and don’t blend into the rug that can be seen from below!

combine cozy and functional elements
Deciding to go with a large ottoman instead of a coffee table is a simple choice that will instantly make your space feel more cozy. To incorporate some functionality, add a tray to provide a flat surface to display books, set down a drink, or showcase a beautiful flower arrangement!

play around with heights and levels
We love to go bold with accessories, especially on a coffee table because it is always a great opportunity to incorporate fun pieces! Books are always our go to when styling a coffee table, and using books to give other objects more height creates a bit of a layered look.
You don’t want all of your accessories to be at the same height, so we like to play around with the items we are working with in order to create different visual levels. And you can never go wrong with a bright floral arrangement!

A fun way to accessorize a coffee table is to go monochromatic with the accessories. This designer chose to incorporate all white accessories on the black coffee table, and we love the contrast that it creates!

This coffee table top is so gorgeous and it’s the focal point of the room, so we decided to let it speak for itself! By adding a simple floral arrangement to the table, it creates some interest while still allowing the table to be visible.
